Job description

A taxidermy finish artist is a specialized wildlife sculptor and painter who performs the critical final stage of mounting an animal, meticulously detailing eyes, nose, lips, and ears with airbrushing, wax, and epoxy to restore a lifelike, dynamic expression. This position requires incredible attention to detail and focuses on realistic, anatomical preservation of our client's trophies and big game for hunters and collections.

Responsibilities

  • Apply fine details to taxidermy mounts including eyes, lips, nose, and ears using airbrushing, wax, and epoxy
  • Ensure anatomical accuracy and lifelike appearance of finished pieces
  • Work collaboratively as part of the taxidermy team to meet project deadlines
  • Touch up and restore older mounts as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace ensuring quality standards
