Job description

Job Title: Server Assistant

Job Summary: The Server Assistant is responsible for supporting servers and ensuring efficient and smooth dining operations. This role involves maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, assisting with food and drink delivery, and providing excellent customer service to members. The Server Assistant plays a key role in ensuring guests have a positive dining experience by helping with table setups, clearing dishes, refilling water/beverages, and supporting the waitstaff in delivering timely service.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables quickly and efficiently.
  • Set and clear tables, ensuring proper presentation and cleanliness throughout service.
  • Refill water glasses, beverages, and bread baskets, ensuring members' needs are met promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area by wiping down tables, chairs, and floors as needed.
  • Help servers deliver food orders to the correct tables and ensure accurate order delivery.
  • Remove empty plates, glasses, and silverware from tables promptly to maintain a clean dining environment.
  • Collect trash from dining room, bar area and other specified places after each serving period.
  • Keep ice bins filled.
  • Support the server in ensuring that members’ needs are met, including refilling drinks and addressing any requests.
  • Maintain stock of clean dishes, silverware, glassware, and condiments, and restock as necessary during service.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and server stations.
  • Help with pre-shift setup, including restocking supplies and preparing dining areas for service.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including food safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
  • Provide support during busy periods to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
