Job description

Summary of Position:

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests by meeting and exceeding their expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Welcome and greet guests. Make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you will be personally taking care of them; introduce yourself.

Maintain clean service areas.

Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned by management.

Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all food and beverage menus, promotions, and special events taking place within the company.

Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make changes (if applicable).

Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure that guests are satisfied with the food and service.

Be ready and willing to assist fellow staff members as situations arise.

Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a server in a comparable restaurant is preferred.

Requirements:

Ability to communicate and understand the English language.

Be willing to serve and entertain guests according to the perceived atmosphere and expectation.

Have a working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.

Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.

Punctuality and regular, reliable attendance including reliable transportation.

Honesty and integrity; hard working.
