Construction Project Manager - QSR and Fast Casual Restaurant Construction - Base Salary to 130k/year - Hagerstown, MD

  • Our client is an established commercial construction company specializing in new-build, ground-up, and renovation projects throughout multiple regions of the United States. They are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven background managing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and Fast Casual Restaurant new-build construction projects. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
  • The Construction Project Manager will manage multiple fast-track restaurant construction projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires hands-on experience with QSR and Fast Casual Restaurant new builds, aggressive construction schedules, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, cost control, and complete project lifecycle management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple fast-track commercial construction projects simultaneously from preconstruction through project closeout, with a focus on QSR and Fast Casual Restaurant construction.
  • Define project scopes for each trade and collaborate with Estimators to analyze bids, de-scope proposals, and select qualified subcontractors and vendors.
  • Develop, maintain, and proactively manage construction project schedules to ensure milestones, budgets, and client expectations are met.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, clients, and field personnel to keep projects moving efficiently while resolving issues that could affect schedule, quality, or cost.
  • Attend pre-bid, preconstruction, and project coordination meetings and serve as a primary point of communication among clients, field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, verify quality, ensure adherence to project drawings and specifications, and uphold standards for safety, craftsmanship, budget, and schedule.
  • Manage project documentation, including material requisitions, purchase orders, submittals, requests for information (RFIs), change orders, pay application support, shop drawings, and closeout documentation.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings with architects, engineers, design professionals, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor project costs, review job profitability, approve material usage, and identify opportunities to control costs and maximize project performance.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project reports, construction schedules, budgets, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA safety standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor schedules to support project productivity and successful execution.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure the proper and efficient use of equipment, vehicles, and jobsite resources.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction.
  • Required experience managing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and Fast Casual Restaurant new-build or ground-up construction projects.
  • Experience managing multiple fast-track construction projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and restaurant construction methods, materials, equipment, scheduling, and industry best practices.
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and civil plans.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, clients, and field personnel.
  • Strong understanding of construction budgeting, project scheduling, cost control, change orders, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and closeout documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver construction projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project quality requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain effective client and subcontractor relationships.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel to project sites and meet company driving requirements.
  • Ability to meet applicable employment and project access requirements in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam Revu, and other construction management software.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with project teams.

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 100k - 130k/year range.
  • Quarterly bonus.
