Location Requirement: Hybrid onsite in Irvine, CA
Our dynamic Habit Burger team is building industry leading technology for our staff and restaurant guests. Customers love using our highly rated app and website for their ordering needs. Our restaurant managers use our applications to manage employee schedules, inventory, and the financials of their business. We also seamlessly integrate with several 3rd party delivery services such as DoorDash, Grubhub and UberEats.
We are seeking a Data Engineer to become part of our dynamic data team. In this role, you will work in a hands-on technical role on a team focused on delivering the best experience to our internal restaurant staff and our customers.
- A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years designing, developing, and maintaining a database
- Proficiency in MSSQL (T-SQL, Stored Procs) or equivalent
- Working knowledge of at least one database management system (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server)
- Familiarity with database design principles and techniques, including data modeling and normalization
- Understanding of database performance tuning techniques, including indexing and query optimization
- Prior knowledge of ETL concepts and processes, including data transformation, and data loading. Some experience with at least one ETL tool a plus.
- Flexible working in a variety of IDEs such as visual studio, snowflake, and others
- Exposure to visualization tools such as DOMO, Power BI and Tableau is desirable, with DOMO experience preferred
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is a plus
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus
- Awareness of laws surrounding data and data privacy
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication and collaboration
Salary Range: $34.47 to $38.46 hourly + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
