Job description

Kitchen manager and head chef will help refurbish a very small, local, beloved but fatigued brand. Restaurant is a brick and mortar in an excellent location super convenient to university and main drag.


In collaboration with new owner, the kitchen manager will overhaul menu and daily operations.


Will have considerable latitude in:

  • choosing vendors and setting standards,
  • establishing the culture of the place,


Will be responsible for:

  • hiring and training the small staff,
  • managing the kitchen budget,
  • optimizing kitchen layout and workflow to improve efficiency,
  • monitoring cleanliness, sanitation and food-handling practices and
  • establishing SOPs such as for opening and closing.
