Job description

PAY RANGE: Guaranteed $18.00+/hour

HOST/HOSTESS POSITION:
Our Host/Hostess will be the first point of contact for our guests! You will greet guests, provide accurate wait times and escort customers to the dining and bar areas. Your goal is to ensure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they walk through the door!

HOST/HOSTESS RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome each guest as they walk into the venue
  • Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
  • Take and manage reservations
  • Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
  • Provide menus and introduce or provide guest with servers name
  • Thank customers upon their departure
  • Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
  • Maintain a clean reception area
  • Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
  • Answer incoming calls and address customers' questions
  • Assist wait staff as needed
  • Additional responsibilities as needed by the restaurant

HOST/HOSTESS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma; preferred
  • Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Server
  • Experience in managing reservations
  • Understanding of restaurant etiquette
  • Demonstrable customer-service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
