Lakeside Foods is excited to announce an opening for General Manager at our Weston Plant in Oregon-a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing plant operations, driving performance, and fostering a culture of excellence and safety.

This position has opened due to an internal transfer associated with a planned retirement at another Lakeside Foods plant-reflecting our ongoing focus on developing and advancing internal talent.

 

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you'll be the cornerstone of our Weston facility's success. You will:

  • Lead and develop management teams across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.
  • Oversee all aspects of plant operations with a focus on efficiency, food safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, government regulations, and food safety standards.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture focused on both plant safety and employee well-being, including oversight of safety training, audits, and incident prevention.
  • Collaborate with corporate and regional leadership to align operations with strategic goals.
  • Manage budgets and recommend capital improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Support and enforce programs that maintain Lakeside's reputation as a high-quality, safe food producer.
 

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations, with progressive leadership roles.
  • 5+ years managing cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of plant operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Experience managing warehouse, shipping, and logistics functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
