We’re hiring a seasonal part-time hourly Lead in Brookstreet Foodhall & Lounge & Ice Level Bar to join our passionate food & beverage Team. Alongside the Brookstreet Lounge Manager and Catering Manager, you’ll be responsible for assisting with the overall operation by leading staff, collaborating with teammates, and assisting where needed in other areas of the venue operations.

Reports to the Brookstreet Foodhall & Lounge Manager & Catering Manager. 

Responsible for assisting with the daily supervision of the Front & Back of House staff in this 300+seat Season Seat Member buffet restaurant as well as the Ice Level Bar; Premium Bar.

Job Responsibilities

OPERATIONS
• Assist the Manager to achieve budget targets for Sales, COS & Labour
• Accurately and efficiently maintain inventory on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required.
• Place supplier orders with the Manager as required with Warehouse department to ensure items are always stocked according to department and sponsor requirements.
• Enforce daily task list for Front & Back of House staff and hold accountability. 
• Ability to use designated POS systems and perform payment duties as required.
• Assist and Manage cash-out process at the end of each event.
• Ensure that all food items are served as per menu specifications, including professional signage and labelling
• Proficiency in multi-tasking in a high energy, fast-paced environment
• Perform other duties as requested by the Brookstreet Manager, Catering Manager, Director of Premium Services or Associate Managers whenever certain skills and/or experience are vital to initiate, coordinate, or complete any given program.
SERVICE
• As a premiere space for Ottawa Senators game nights, hospitality and service are a primary focus, and 
attention to detail and premium hospitality is the key to success in the Brookstreet Foodhall & Lounge and Ice Level Bar.
• Liaise with Brookstreet Hosts to confirm total number of guests in attendance and to accurately charge total 
member meals back to the Ottawa Senators following each event.
• Act as a versatile resource for the restaurant team, stepping in across different functions as needed to 
support business goals and smooth execution. 
• Promote strong public relations among guests and liaise with our client as required.
• Ensure our Season Seat Members are provided with excellent guest service while staying within the allowable parameters of Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy
• Assist with leading food service huddles with staff.
• Maintain communication with staff and Managers of any updates and or changes, including the manifest.
• Lead by example in all areas including punctuality, appearance, and quality of work. May prepare beverage orders as needed to ensure accurate production for location.
• Work with the Culinary team to maintain food production and ensure the safety and quality of food according 
to Aramark policies, procedures, and department requirements are met.

FOOD & WORKPLACE SAFETY
• Safety First every day. To have a workplace operation with zero incidents or injuries is a primary focus and goal by management and the corporation.
• Maintain a sanitary department following health & safety codes and regulations.
• Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
• Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment and continuously follow up with preventative maintenance checklists.
• Ensure all food/safety temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action, as necessary
• Communicate all service schedules & coordinate repairs with Brookstreet Manager accordingly
• Lead by example and enforce procedures and policies.

COACHING
• Assist with hiring, training, supervising and evaluating employees as needed; counsel; promote employee growth, efficiency, morale and teamwork
• Coach employees on products offered within the lounge and promote awareness of items and other promotions available throughout the arena.
• Holds self and others accountable to ensure operation is being managed as required.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
