Job description

As the Manager - Responsible Sourcing, you will develop and execute strategies that support responsible sourcing initiatives, strengthen supplier and Alliance Partner relationships, and drive business growth. Working closely with internal teams, customers, and strategic partners, you will advance sourcing programs that align with customer procurement objectives and organizational initiatives that support economic growth in the communities in which we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement responsible sourcing vision, strategic direction executed by Director Responsible Sourcing in alignment with the organizational goals and strategies.
  • Manage the joint-strategic account planning process through responsible sourcing solutions, Strategic Account Managers, Outside/Inside Sales Representatives, Sales management, branch leadership and other internal participants supporting end customers.
  • Establish and hold suppliers, Alliance partners and sales organization accountable for supporting annual responsible sourcing initiatives, in support of end customer responsible sourcing procurement requirements.
  • Provide guidance on driving incremental growth through new customers/existing customers with Global Accounts, EES (Electrical and Electronic Solutions) and CSS (Communications and Security Solutions) through responsible sourcing solutions with value-added agreements.
  • Hold regular, scheduled account reviews, identifying and resolving problems.
  • Maintain productive, long-term relationships with key accounts and through aligned responsible sourcing solutions.
  • Implement process improvements to support responsible sourcing strategy, with support from senior management.
  • Coach Sales to position responsible sourcing solutions strategically with the right decision makers.
  • Coach, mentor, and train Alliance partners to position Wesco solutions. 
  • Ensure capture of customer responsible sourcing reports to meet customer requirements and support continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and internal cross-functional support teams to drive a positive impact from responsible sourcing solutions.
  • Actively engage in the preparation of internal and external events promoting and recognizing responsible sourcing efforts.
  • Provide support for all customer RFP responses with responsible sourcing questions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree - Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field required
  • 5+ years strategic sales and/or large account management experience
  • 3+ years' in the planning and development of outreach activity supporting a responsible sourcing program(s)
  • 2+ years people management and/or large program management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively reach out across organizational boundaries, mobilize. resources and subject matter experts from many teams and groups to achieve objectives
  • Understanding of business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and management of people and resources
  • Ability to develop and maintain key relationships
  • Cross-functional team management/leadership experience
  • Excellent negotiating, consensus building and conflict resolution skills
  • Skill in understanding and developing process flows
  • Data-driven thinker with proven ability to analyze data
  • Exceptional organizational, project and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Power BI, CRM software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel 0% - 25%

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan,subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
