Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated RRT Admit Education Nurse for the Nursing Supervisors Department, at Monmouth Medical Center.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • ASN or Nursing Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Critical Care Nursing ICU or ED
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Preferred:

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS
  • Bachelor s Degree in Nursing and Critical Care Nurse Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Night shift, 36 hours per week

Essential Functions:

  • As a member of the Rapid Response Team RRT the RRT Nurse will focus on specific situations in non-critical care areas
  • These situations will have complex clinical issues and require immediate attention and clinical expertise
  • The RRT nurse will assist the staff member in assessing and stabilizing the patient’s condition, as well as organizing information to be communicated to the patients physician
  • The RRT nurse will be responsible for data and reports
  • The RRT nurses collectively will serve as educators over the medical surgical units as determined by director
  • Other responsibilities of the RRT nurse are to serve as a resource to staff, coordinate annual and ongoing competencies, assist with code SMARTs code Strokes, and code Blues when available
  • The RRT nurses is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments damaged floors walls ceiling tiles unsecured areas and medical errors etc.
