Job description

Respiratory Therapy students!!! We have an exciting new opportunity as a Respiratory Therapy Tech. As a Respiratory Therapy Tech with us, you will provide professional respiratory therapy services to children under a licensed respiratory therapist within the framework of physicians' orders, care team guidelines, and care plans.

What You'll Do

  • Within the respiratory therapy scope of practice, physician's orders, and the child's care plan, provide a range of respiratory services including inhaled medication therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, PEP therapy, CPAP therapy and BIPAP therapy. Assist with care of artificial airways.
  • Maintain accurate, completed, and timely records as defined by respiratory therapy standards of practice and ChildServepolicies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with children, physicians, families, school personnel, ChildServestaff, and others to assure assigned child's care needs are assessed, communicated, and met.

What You'll Need

  • Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, one year of coursework completed.
  • Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
  • PALS certification encouraged.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
