Position Details:

  • Title: R&D Intern
  • Schedule: To be determined, based on mutual availability and company needs.
  • Location: Gibbstown, NJ (08027)
  • Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be pursuing a 4-year college degree in a technical field and looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a lab setting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Salary Range: $18.00 – $21.00 hourly, based on education, experience and qualifications.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Research Manager(s)

Essential Functions:

  • Under the guidance of senior laboratory staff, compound/blend materials to create formulations
  • Participate in the general upkeep of the QC/R&D laboratory facility
  • Operate laboratory analytical and mixing equipment
  • Perform testing per guidelines
  • Create, maintain, and organize electronic documentation
  • Work safely with hazardous chemicals and waste
  • Complete special assignments and prepare reports/project summaries, as required

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years' experience in laboratory setting
  • Good mathematical skills – unit conversion, ratio, percentage
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Pursuing a 4-year college degree in a technical field (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
