Established in Tampa, Florida, and now expanding in Dallas, Texas, Brakin Out Inc. specializes in mentorship programs addressing lack of self-esteem, LGBT+ coming out, relationships, peer-to-peer support, family or self-hurt issues, and bullying.
Brakin Out Inc. is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will be at the forefront of guiding the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring effective governance, and championing our mission to provide second chances and mentorship to at-risk youth. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and impactful nonprofit, making a lasting difference in the lives of disadvantaged young people.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with other board members and the executive team to set the organization's strategic goals and direction.
  • Governance: Ensure the organization adheres to legal and ethical standards, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor the financial health of the organization, participate in budgeting processes, and ensure proper financial controls are in place.
  • Fundraising and Resource Development: Assist in securing financial resources through fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and grant writing.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Represent Brakin Out Inc. in the community, building relationships with stakeholders, partners, and potential donors.
