Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Promote safety awareness to employees and guests throughout the resort by identifying, reporting and/or correcting any safety problems or misuse of company property.
โ€ข Provide a highly visible presence in order to deter criminal activity and violations while ensuring the proper and lawful use of all Snowbasin properties.
โ€ข Assisting/interacting with guests and staff in a professional and courteous manner while providing a high level of customer service.
โ€ข Performing patrols of the property both on foot and in a vehicle; maintain patrol logs as well as daily shift reports and incident investigations.
โ€ข Adapting to wide variety of dynamic situations while making critical or difficult decisions in urgent situations.
โ€ข Enacting general emergency procedures; coordinating and responding to emergencies.
โ€ข Interfacing with emergency and law enforcement services along with other EMS authorities.
โ€ข Cooperating with law enforcement and assisting with investigations when necessary.
โ€ข Additional duties may include but are not limited to: inspecting AEDs, restocking first aid kits, updating locks and keys and more.
โ€ข Perform additional tasks as requested by the PS&S Manager or other Management Team members; occasionally attend meetings and trainings outside of the regular work week.
Qualifications:
โ€ข High level of energy and enthusiasm for guest service, safety and the security of the resort.
โ€ข Proven ability to motivate employees around safety and drive engagement.
โ€ข Exceptional employee/guest relations skills with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
โ€ข Ability to negotiate, coach and problem solve in an effective manner while building and maintaining positive relationships.
โ€ข Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
โ€ข Effective computer and writing skills including proficiency in incident reporting and documentation.
โ€ข Weekend and holiday availability required as well as flexibility with work schedule; available on-call as necessary.
Education and Experience:
โ€ข Minimum of High School diploma or GED
โ€ข Possess the ability to maintain confidential information - both written and verbal
โ€ข Possess valid US Driver's License, and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
โ€ข Functional use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
โ€ข Basic written communication skills (grammar and spelling)
โ€ข Absence of criminal record in recent past; absence of felony record
โ€ข Must be 21 years of age
โ€ข Previous experience in safety and loss prevention (specifically in hospitality and/or resort or campus setting), surveillance, law enforcement desired
