Job Description

The Resort Maintenance Technician 2 plays an essential role in upholding the resort's elevated standards by completing skilled maintenance projects, performing proactive preventive care, and responding swiftly to work orders that ensure every area of the property remains in impeccable condition.

As the Facilities Maintenance Technician 2, you will:
  • Handle guest requests, routine maintenance, and special projects around the resort.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, and basic HVAC.
  • Keep interiors looking great with wall, paint, tile, flooring, and carpet repairs.
  • Maintain pools, spas, and water features including cleaning and chemical checks.
  • Use resort systems (like HotSOS) to track work and stay organized.
  • Support inventory needs to ensure tools and materials are ready to go.
  • Communicate professionally with guests and team members.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and ladders while following all safety standards.
  • Help identify hazards and keep the property safe and well-maintained.
  • Represent the resort with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English is required.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with enthusiasm and focus.
  • Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
