Job description

Water's Edge Resort and Spa is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead resort operations, inspire high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader with a passion for luxury service, team development, and driving strong operational and financial results.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring all departments are functioning smoothly
  • Set and implement policies and procedures for the hotel
  • Monitor the quality of the hotel's services and amenities, and initiate improvements as needed
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the hotel and its services
  • Support ownership with strategic planning, operational initiatives, projects, renovations, and property improvements
  • Develop and monitor budgets, financial controls, and performance objectives
  • Lead, train, and hold team members accountable while fostering a professional workplace
  • Build strong relationships with Vacation Club Members and participate in HOA meetings
  • Resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security requirements
  • Stay current on hospitality trends and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and property performance
  • Support resort-wide events and operations as needed

  • 5+ years of full-service hotel operations management experience, including Food & Beverage knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, financial controls, and P&L management
  • Luxury/upscale resort experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing, housekeeping, and guest relations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with standard business software, including spreadsheets and word processing
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet operational deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing/walking and lifting up to 50 lbs.
