DIVISION: Spa
REPORTS TO: Spa Supervisor
LOCATION: Solitude Mountain Spa / The Inn
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time /Seasonal/Commission and Tips
Summer 2026
POSITION:
Are you passionate about massage therapy and the mountains? Solitude Spa is looking for dedicated massage therapists to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, is a team player, a motivated self-starter, and is eager to learn and grow within the field of massage therapy.
In this role, you will work within a tourism/hospitality mountain resort spa, providing treatments to high-expectation clientele, including tourists, owners, and locals. You will be part of a supportive and dynamic team across all resort departments.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Licensed massage therapist, hold an active license and qualified to work in the State of Utah
  • Experience in or willingness to learn Swedish massage, hot stone massage, sports massage, and deep-tissue massage
  • Experience in or willingness to learn a variety of body treatments, including body wraps, body scrubs, hot stone massage, etc.
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Dependable and be punctual
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and customize for each individual guest's needs
  • Perform multiple high-quality, consistent, massages and body treatments per working day
  • Ability to stand for up to 6-8 hours each day
  • Commuting Big Cottonwood Canyon via reliable transportation with required approved snow tires and or chains, UTA bus, or employee carpool, in many variable seasonal road conditions
  • Willing to work flexible hours that include weekends and holidays

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing all massage therapists’ treatments and services efficiently
  • Arriving 20 minutes prior to your first service in spa, ready and on time on site to receive clients
  • Ensuring massage therapists' rooms are clean, in working order, set up, completed cleaning list and stocked properly so that it is presentable for next treatment or working day
  • Recommending retail, services, and product knowledge of the spa
  • Assisting in team closing procedures at end of shift
  • Restocking products, towels, linens, and spa supplies
  • Understanding and adhering to all spa policies, schedules, protocols, and procedures
  • Contributing to any additional aid or assistance of the spa, the Inn, or other department as needed
  • Attending all spa team meetings and trainings
