Job description

Shifts available between 8a-10p 7 days a week. 

Join our resort-style RV and tiny home destination as a Certified Lifeguard, where safety, hospitality, and guest experience come together. In this role, you will serve as the front-line defender of aquatic safety while delivering a fun, relaxed, and upscale guest experience similar to premier resort brands.

Lifeguards are responsible for actively monitoring aquatic areas, preventing incidents, and responding quickly to emergencies, while maintaining a positive, guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities Safety & Aquatic Operations
  • Provide continuous surveillance of pools and aquatic attractions, maintaining constant vigilance and rescue readiness
  • Enforce all pool rules, safety guidelines, and operational procedures
  • Respond immediately to emergencies, including water rescues, first aid, and CPR
  • Follow the Ellis & Associates Aquatic Risk Management Program, including 10/20 scanning standards and safety protocols
  • Identify and proactively correct unsafe behaviors or conditions
Guest Experience (Resort-Level Service)
  • Deliver exceptional guest service with a friendly, upbeat, and professional attitude
  • Assist guests with directions, questions, and resort amenities
  • Create a safe but fun, welcoming environment consistent with luxury resort expectations
  • Handle guest concerns calmly and professionally
Facility & Operations Support
  • Assist with opening and closing aquatic areas
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization (chairs, deck areas, equipment)
  • Support daily reset of guest areas for the next operational day
  • Dispatch attractions and assist with aquatic activities as needed
Team & Compliance
  • Work collaboratively with team members and leadership
  • Attend required training and maintain certification standards
  • Complete incident reports and communicate issues to supervisors
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
Certification & Training
  • Must successfully complete the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program
  • Includes certification in:
    • Lifeguarding
    • CPR / AED
    • First Aid
  • Training provided on-site

Ellis & Associates certification combines water rescue skills with professional-level emergency care training and is widely used across resorts and aquatic facilities.

Swim Test Requirements

Applicants must pass the following prerequisites:

  • Swim 50 yards continuously using front crawl or breaststroke
  • Retrieve a 5 lb brick from 6 feet depth
  • Tread water for 2 minutes without using hands
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance)
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat, sun, rain, and varying weather conditions
  • Strong vision, hearing, and coordination required
Work Environment

This position operates in a high-energy outdoor resort setting, similar to luxury RV and lifestyle destinations. Lifeguards must be comfortable working in:

  • Outdoor aquatic environments
  • Moderate to high noise levels
  • Fast-paced, guest-focused atmosphere
