What is a resort internship?

Resort internships are temporary work placements offered by resorts to students or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. These internships typically involve working in various departments such as front desk, food and beverage, housekeeping, recreation, or guest services. Interns have the opportunity to learn about daily resort operations, interact with guests from around the world, and develop valuable skills for future careers. Most programs are structured for a specific duration, often during peak seasons, and may offer compensation, housing, or other benefits.

What responsibilities can I expect during a resort internship?

This hands-on exposure allows you to develop a well-rounded understanding of resort management and hospitality operations. Working closely with experienced staff, you'll gain practical skills in customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving—key competencies for advancing in the hospitality industry. These experiences not only build your resume but also help you identify your preferred career path within the resort sector.
