Job description

Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer supports the visual expression of the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino brand across marketing and guest-facing channels. This role focuses on executing creative projects with accuracy, consistency, and attention to brand standards. The Graphic Designer works closely with marketing leadership, the Senior Graphic Designer, internal teams, and external vendors to produce high-quality creative assets for promotions, events, entertainment, gaming, food & beverage, and on-property experiences.

This is a fully on-property role located in northern Wisconsin, providing the opportunity to work on engaging, fast-paced creative projects while contributing to a well-known regional destination brand. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute creative assets across print, digital, motion, and on-property media, including digital signage, direct mail, advertising, menus, flyers, newsletters, and promotional collateral.
  • Assist in the development and execution of visual concepts for promotions, events, and brand campaigns.
  • Plan and manage own design workload to meet project deadlines.
  • Support motion graphics and slot display visuals for promotions and events.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all creative materials.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, marketing leadership, and internal stakeholders to ensure messaging and visuals align with campaign goals.
  • Work with external agencies, printers, and vendors to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across deliverables.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining a photo and video asset library for marketing and promotional use.
  • Participate in on-property marketing events and promotional activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Supervision Received: Works under guidance from the Senior Graphic Designer to ensure design work meets brand standards. Reports directly to the Integrated Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing.

Position Relationships:

  • Internal: Continual contact with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • External: Frequent contact with suppliers, printing services, and advertising agencies.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience with a strong portfolio will be considered.

Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years of professional graphic design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong design execution and campaign support. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects and Premiere Pro preferred). Experience producing print and digital assets, and familiarity with motion graphics a plus. Prior experience working with external vendors, printers, or production teams preferred. Experience in hospitality, entertainment, gaming, or agency environments is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong design skills, attention to detail, and ability to execute creative concepts accurately. Ability to translate marketing goals into visually compelling solutions. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working under guidance and contributing to a team. Proficiency with Mac-based design environments and modern creative workflows. Must be able to manage, maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact. Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Scheduling: Is responsible for planning and coordinating design schedules and workload for self and the Graphic Designer to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Is responsible for participating in the development and adherence to the marketing department budget.
  • Responsibility for Establishing Objectives, Policies or Standards: Is responsible for participating in the establishment of departmental objectives, standards, policies and procedures for review by the Director of Marketing.
  • Impact of Decisions: Decisions may result in unnecessary expenditures.

Working Environment:

  • Work Conditions: This is an on-property role. Core responsibilities are performed on-site at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino and include supporting events, promotions, content capture, and campaign execution under deadline-oriented conditions. Work may involve varied internal and external settings, including exposure to natural elements, loud music, and other typical casino environments.
  • Exposure to Hazards: May be exposed to situations where guest, visitor or associate behavior may create undesirable conditions.
  • Physical Requirements: Majority of position responsibilities includes walking, sitting, standing, or operating office equipment.
