Job description

We are looking for an Assistant General Manager / Head of Maintenance for the Cottonwood Cove Marina & RV Resort. Cottonwood Cove is an 82-acre, full-service campground situated on the banks of the Missouri River in Blair, Nebraska. We offer seasonal and transient camping, a marina, and villa residences, with a strong emphasis on creating a welcoming community for our seasonal guests.

This is a full-time position with increased hours during our peak season (including nights, weekends, and holidays), which runs from April through October. This role may be performed partially remotely during the off-season, when the workload is significantly reduced. This role reports directly to the campground General Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the General Manager and assister her with tasks on an as needed basis
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for campground guests, handling inquiries, reservations, and conflict resolution with professionalism
  • Maintaining and updating the Property Management System (PMS) with accurate reservation and guest information
  • Obtaining and maintaining Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification to oversee pool operations and compliance
  • Supporting the full-service restaurant, including scheduling, employee coordination, and occasionally working alongside the team during peak periods
  • Performing general property maintenance including pool upkeep, minor plumbing repairs, landscaping, and groundskeeping
  • Having some electrical and plumbing experience is a plus
  • Driving revenue through leasing outreach and event programming at the restaurant
  • Representing the resort at campground industry trade shows and events
