Job Summary

Guest focused Resort Manager who will beassisting the GM by overseeing the daily management and providing strategic direction of the operations. Planning and supervising the activities of an extensive and diverse workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable running of business. Enhance customer dedication and expand clientele by strengthening the Resort reputation and the guest experience. The successful candidate is required to ensure the Resort continually exceeds guest expectations and establishes an environment that motivates colleagues and that helps for their development and growth. Will ensure compliance with licensing laws, health, hygiene, safety and other statutory regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • To oversee the daily operations of the resort as well as provide strategic direction and clear objectives for all departments including F&B Service and Culinary, Events, Rooms & Activities, Spa, Facilities, Security, etc.)
  • Plan activities and allocate responsibilities, supervising an extensive large workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable running of business and achieve the most efficient operating model
  • Manage budgets/expenses, analyze and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits
  • Work Closely with Sales & Marketing to develop and implement an intuitive and efficient sales & marketing strategy to promote the hotel’s services
  • Communicate with guests and engage them (welcome them to the facilities, address their concerns, find solutions to problems, offer information, etc.)
  • Address maintenance issues, equipment, renovations, manning, etc.
  • Collaborate with partners and ensure the best are selected to work with
  • Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards
  • Work closely with the quality management department
  • Ensure updated processes and procedures are implemented and applied to guarantee compliance across the resort
  • Ensure quality and service standards are well understood and applied by all colleagues & leaders, set and follow high targets and support the team for achieving them
  • Ensure learning & development plans are set and followed for the operational teams
  • Set Colleague Engagement action plans and follow to ensure satisfaction, loyalty and dedication of the teams
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Hotel & Business Management
  • Proven experience as Hotel Manager or relevant senior leadership role, minimum of 5 years, large volume
  • Strong working experience in the United States is required, international experience would be an advantage
  • Strong background in F&B plus experience in hotel operations
  • Demonstrated strong leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency with the English language, both written and spoken, is required; knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
  • Outstanding aptitude in decision making and problem solving
  • A strong business mindset in planning, organizing and analyzing figures and market
  • Proficient with typical computer systems to include Microsoft Office, Opera, Micros, and other typical hotel programs
Physical Requirements
  • Constant sitting, standing, and walking, stooping, and bending in an office environment
  • Constant typing, looking at computer screens, speaking on a telephone, and utilizing other electronic equipment
  • Frequently required to work in outdoor environments which may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, rain, heat, wind, etc.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, bend, lift and carry up to 50 lbs
