Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Joiner Supervisor to oversee and manage joinery teams working on the installation of accommodations and outfitting on marine vessels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine interior fit-out, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure that all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and within the required timeline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise day-to-day joinery activities on marine vessels, including installation of walls, ceilings, floors, doors, furniture, and other accommodation outfitting components.
  • Coordinate and manage joiner teams, including subcontractors, ensuring efficient use of labor and materials.
  • Coordinate with clients.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) regulations.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve technical or logistical issues.
  • Conduct quality control checks and ensure that installations meet the required specifications and tolerances.
  • Monitor progress and produce daily/weekly reports on work activities and team performance.
  • Manage on-site materials and tools to prevent shortages or wastage.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members or apprentices as required.
  • Enforce site safety procedures and promote a culture of safe working practices.
