Position Details
ยท Maintain a safe and clean workplace

ยท Set-up machine, check and handling raw materials
ยท Move and maneuver material and equipment using manual or motorized devices
ยท The position works on a rotation basis, including days, nights, weekends and holidays covering 24/7.
Education & Experience Requirements
ยท High School Diploma/G.E.D.
ยท 1-3 yearsโ experience as a machine operator
ยท Associate degree/technical certificate preferred
ยท Manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred
ยท Knowledge of paper industry preferred

ยท Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
ยท Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
ยท Ability to follow detailed instructions
ยท Analytical skills and attention to detail
ยท Ability to troubleshoot
ยท Knowledge of basic mathematics
ยท Ability to move and maneuver material and equipment using manual or motorized devices
ยท Forklift experience a plus
ยท Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
ยท Understanding of production procedures
ยท Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
Duties and Responsibilities
ยท Work safely and observe all safety rules around all paper mill equipment
ยท Maintain and up-keep a high-level of cleanliness at workplace
ยท Perform machine setups (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
ยท Control and adjust the functions and settings of machines (e.g. speed)
ยท Feed the necessary raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
ยท Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure they meet requirements
ยท Test the operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running
ยท Fix issues that might occur during the shift
ยท Check output to discover any machine-related mistakes or flaws
ยท Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
ยท Maintain activity logs
ยท Other duties as assigned

Lifting: Ability to lift 50 pounds
Standing: 100% of the time
Heat: Can be hot at times (seasonal)
Stairs: Yes
Water: Low possibility of getting wet
