Job description

Lastique International Corporation | Louisville, Kentucky

Ready to join a growing team that’s a leader in plastics processing and recycling?

Lastique International is a Louisville-based company supplying top-quality plastic resins—like Polypropylene, Polyethylene, and PVC—to manufacturers worldwide. We’re serious about sustainability, too; we operate a huge 130,000 square foot facility right here in Louisville where we actively recycle millions of pounds of PVC scrap every year.

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Production Machine Operator to be a key player in our production process. In this critical role, you’ll be hands-on with the equipment—running grinders, pulverizers, blenders, or pelletizers—that helps us create high-quality compounds and keeps material out of landfills. If you're a professional, self-motivated worker who can adapt quickly and wants to make a real impact on product quality and our recycling mission, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Operate one or more specialized polymer processing machines (such as grinders, pulverizers, blenders, or pelletizers) to precise production specifications on a continuous basis.
  • Lift and secure workpieces/materials manually or with a hoist, facilitating the handling of various plastic and nonmetal materials (Polypropylene, Polyethylene, PVC).
  • Start machines, engage feed, and continuously monitor operations to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and measure workpieces/compounds for quality assurance, adhering to Lastique's high standards.
  • Adjust machine controls as needed to maintain tolerance and achieve optimal performance in the resin processing line.
  • Clean and maintain machined parts and work areas, upholding a safe and organized environment within our 130,000 sq. ft. facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional machine operating experience. (Preferred)
  • Forklift experience. (Preferred)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • English language proficiency.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.
  • Occasional exposure to high places, electrical shock risk, and outside weather conditions.

Benefits

  • Paid Holidays
  • Paid Vacation, Sick, and Personal Days
  • Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance

Lastique is an equal opportunity employer. Reasonable accommodation may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities. Relocation services are not provided.

Company Description

OUR MISSION: To be our customers’ first choice in polymer compound solutions, enabling their success through innovation and consistently delivering high-quality products with exceptional customer service.

We are known for manufacturing the highest quality advanced polymers, custom thermoplastics and compounds for a variety of applications in the building & construction, industrial, consumer, and electrical/electronic/wire & cable industries.
