What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you'll help individuals with developmental disabilities live full, meaningful lives. You'll promote their health, safety, and well-being, and serve as their advocate every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and guide clients through their daily routines, as outlined in their Individual Program Plan
  • Assist clients with personal care and bathroom needs
  • Help clients change clothing or undergarments as needed
  • Prepare daily meals and assist with cleanup
  • Transport clients to and from their home or facility in company vehicles, as needed

What You'll Need
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate, Year 1 & Year 2 (preferred, or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire)
  • Current First Aid/CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
