Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker III
Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (3 Months) extendable
Pay Rate: $26-$28/hr 
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (CST) | 7.5 Hours/Day

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker III to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and general facility upkeep across a large campus environment. This role is responsible for maintaining building systems, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and safe working environment.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
2–4 years of experience in general building maintenance or skilled mechanical trades.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a fingerprint and criminal background check.

Key Responsibilities
Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Repair doors, windows, drywall, flooring, woodwork, and other building components.
Perform basic plumbing repairs, including replacing fixtures, repairing leaks, and clearing drains.
Complete routine electrical maintenance, including replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, ballasts, and transformers.
Perform minor HVAC maintenance, including changing filters, belts, and motors.
Complete basic carpentry, drywall, shelving, and minor roofing repairs.
Maintain grounds, including mowing, landscaping, fence repairs, and outdoor maintenance.
Operate hand tools, power tools, tractors, mowers, and other maintenance equipment safely.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and complete work orders using a computerized maintenance system.
Assist with furniture moves, room setups, inventory management, and special events.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and support on-call or overtime needs when required.
Communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and internal departments.
 
Required Skills
Experience in building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, maintenance manuals, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and maintenance procedures.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift 50–80 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
Universal EPA/HVAC Certification.
OSHA 10-Hour Certification.
Heavy Equipment Operation Certification.
Electrical or Plumbing Trade License.
Basic welding experience.
