Our organization is in search of a board-certified or board-eligible Adult Cardiac Surgeon to enhance our expanding academic cardiac surgery program. This role presents a chance to join a well-established, collaborative team within a healthcare system dedicated to clinical excellence, education, and program development.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in adult cardiac surgery, covering areas such as coronary revascularization, valvular disease, aortic conditions, and complex surgical interventions. The selected individual will actively contribute to the advancement of the Cardiac Surgery program while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care.
This role includes an academic appointment, with rank based on experience, and offers significant opportunities for involvement in teaching, quality initiatives, and clinical collaboration.

Qualifications

MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Adult Cardiac Surgery

A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience following fellowship training

Clinically focused with research experience and teaching capabilities suitable for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor

Leadership qualities are highly regarded

Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care

Proven experience in adult cardiac surgical procedures

Ability to provide a current operative case log

Capability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, residents, surgery fellows, and other healthcare professionals

Eligibility for academic appointment and medical licensure in New York State
