Job Type: Full-Time; Part-Time
Location: Columbia, MO (on-site)
Pay: $18-$20 per hour (based on experience)
Benefits (Full-Time Only): Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and company reimbursement toward qualified medical insurance premiums.
Schedule: Work hours for the department are scheduled between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, including weekends and some holidays.
Position Overview:
RE/MAX Rental Resources is seeking a dependable and organized Front Desk & Resident Services Associate to support daily operations at our office.
This position serves as the primary point of contact for residents, property owners, vendors, and prospective tenants. Responsibilities include resident communication, rent payments, leasing support, move-in coordination, maintenance request coordination, and maintaining accurate records. The position works closely with property managers, leasing staff, maintenance personnel, and office staff to support day-to-day property operations.
Successful candidates will likely have experience in customer service, office administration, leasing, hospitality, property management, or related fields and be comfortable balancing resident service responsibilities with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to resident, owner, vendor, and prospective tenant inquiries by phone, text message, email, and in person.
  • Accept and process rent payments and maintain accurate payment records.
  • Support leasing activities by scheduling showings, processing applications, preparing lease documents, sending lease offers, and coordinating move-ins.
  • Monitor maintenance work orders as they are submitted, assist residents with basic troubleshooting, and coordinate emergency service with on-call technicians when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate resident, prospect, and property records in AppFolio.
  • Document resident communications and update account records as needed.
  • Coordinate communication between residents, vendors, maintenance staff, and office personnel.
  • Assist property managers and office staff with reporting, administrative tasks, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience in customer service, office administration, leasing, property management, hospitality, banking, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software is a plus.
  • Professional and courteous communication skills.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:
This position includes office work involving computer use, phone communication, document processing, and interaction with residents, vendors, and visitors. Duties may include occasional lifting of office supplies or files up to 20 lbs.
