Job description

Now Hiring - NJ Director of Business Development 

The NJ Director of Business Development is responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Assists in the development and maintenance of the marketing and education plan.
  2. Effectively manages and motivates Hospice Marketers/Community Education Liaisons.
  3. Develops new business and expands existing business throughout assigned areas.
  4. Represents Company at community organizations' events and business functions.
  5. Provides hospice in-service programs to hospital and skilled nursing facility staff, physicians, community groups and other as directed.
  6. Coordinates all marketing and promotional activities, including meeting and traveling with other marketing department personnel and Administrators.
  7. Visits facilities for Service Review meetings, in-service educational programs, and Quality Assurance as needed.
  8. Projects Hospice philosophy of care and advocacy for the patients and families.
  9. Projects Hospice philosophy and goals in all job-related roles.
  10. Participates in staff development activities, Hospice program meetings, and attends off-site conferences as needed.
  11. Participates in strategic planning meetings and is instrumental in developing monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets.
  12. Maintains awareness of regulatory requirements which impact marketing efforts and goals of the Hospice.
  13. Participates in performance improvement activities.
  14. Monitors progress toward accomplishing marketing and educational goals.
  15. Reviews census data and HPMS reports.
  16. Meets budgeted census goals.
  17. Creates necessary forms for reporting.
  18. Monitors marketing activities and expenses to ensure compliance with financial policies.
  19. Reviews all expenses, call reports and schedules to maximize use of staff.
  20. Participates in executive management meetings.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree is a related field

Professional Experience:

  • 2 - 4 years training and marketing experience with proven presentation and facilitation skills
  • Highly developed organizational, planning and management written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Ability to create marketing programs for services
  • Previous experience in hospice, home health, or community health
