Job description

Matt Talbot Recovery Services is currently recruiting for Full and Part Time caregivers for all shifts to work at our Community Based Residential Facilities. Resident Assistants are responsible for maintaining oversight of particpants in our designated program locations that work in collaboration with the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division. Both Part and Full time opportunities are available during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift, as well as weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Monitors residents on assigned shift.
  2. Intervenes in crisis situations, reporting to counselor and supervisor in case of emergency.
  3. Documents and reports observations and pertinent information concerning client behaviors, attitudes and interactions in the communication log.
  4. Assist residents with their medications according to procedures.
  5. Communicates pertinent resident information to the appropriate clinical staff, families and referents when assigned.
  6. Answers phones, direct calls and take messages as assigned.
  7. Participates in scheduled staff meetings and in-service activities.
  8. Performs all duties according to the facility’s policies and procedures.
  9. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Counselor.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Good written and verbal communication skills.
