Position Summary:

  • Support the work of the Provostial Advisory Committee for Students and Scholars at Risk through meeting coordination, agenda development, stakeholder engagement, note-taking, project implementation, and preparation of reports and briefing materials.
  • Conduct environmental scans and research on promising practices related to supporting students and scholars at risk in higher education contexts.
  • Lead the development of a recommendations report for the Provost, synthesizing research findings, stakeholder input, and committee discussions to identify strategic approaches for advancing institutional support for students and scholars at risk, including both traditional in-person programs and alternative forms of scholarly engagement.
  • Support the administration and ongoing development of the Students and Scholars at Risk Fund, including communications drafting, meeting support, stakeholder outreach, event and logistics coordination, and project planning.
  • Prepare written materials such as briefing notes, reports, presentations, correspondence, and funding-related communications for internal and external audiences.
  • Track project milestones, document decisions and action items, and contribute to the implementation of committee recommendations and related initiatives.


Qualifications:

Graduate student currently enrolled at McGill University, with knowledge of refugee student experiences and the postsecondary education sector.
