Job description

Position Overview

TheSenior Research Assistant supportsthe research team andprojects by coordinating study activities,collecting and analyzing data, maintainingdocumentation, andassistingwith publications. This role typically involves greater responsibility than a standard research assistant, including mentoring junior staff, managing parts of research projects, and ensuring compliance with research protocols.


This is a full-time position working out of our Reston, VA office. Candidates must be able to work regular office hours Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistin the design, planning, and execution of research studies or experiments.
  • Collect, organize, andmaintainquantitative and qualitative research data.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings to support researchobjectives.
  • Analyze data using statistical or qualitative analysis tools.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and research summaries.
  • Support the preparation of manuscriptsand publications.
  • Ensure research activities follow ethical standards, institutional policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage research documentation, databases, and study records.
  • Coordinate project timelines and research activities with team members.
  • Supervise or mentor junior research assistants, interns, or students.
  • Assistwith participant recruitment and data collection where applicable.

Required Qualifications
