Job description

Overview
The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology with Health Emphasis Graduate Assistantship position provides current Doctoral student(s) with exposure to many areas of the PsyD process at Touro University. Student(s) will play an integral part in supporting Professor's functions and contribute to the overall success of the team. Graduate assistantships are appointments made to students enrolled in doctoral programs at the SHS. Appointments are generally made for two to three semesters (including summers) of the calendar year.
Responsibilities
  • Assist faculty members with record keeping research lab activities and other miscellaneous projects.
  • Obtain materials needed for classes and research laboratories including texts and other materials.
  • Prepare conference submissions.
  • Prepare IRB submissions and conduct experiments.
  • Organize or analyze data.
  • Collaborate with faculty in preparing publications.
  • Assist with academic research.
  • Assist with the editing and preparation of manuscripts.

Qualifications
Education/ Experience
  • Must be enrolled in the PsyD program at Touro University. Must be in good academic standing i.e. have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills; collaboration and matrix management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated work ethic and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in SPSS or R-based statistical software.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work.
