Job description

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Oncology Research Intern to join our Research and Education team!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.  

Position Summary:

Participate in the day-to-day implementation and operation of research studies conducted by the specific business unit. Research may take place on live humans or specimens. Responsible for recruitment, eligibility screening, enrollment, scheduling, data collection, reports, patient interviews, securing consent, survey collection, reimbursement, summarizing data, etc. Tasks will also have administrative duties as assigned: data entry, data cleaning, generation of reports, attend meetings, take notes at meetings. Write or assist in the process of writing papers which are ready for submission to multiple review committees. Create visual presentation materials and present the info to a variety of audiences. Requires ability to multi-task and produce results for the supporting department. Ultimate goal for the research intern is to learn from the studies they participate in, gain experience which will help them build their knowledge-base for future education or career goals. Will take work direction from a variety of internal staff. 

Responsible for co-managing MMCORC SharePoint site and posting content to internal and external websites, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and timely updates.

Time Period:  We are looking for a one-year Program Operations Intern for MMCORC.

Work Schedule:

M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • College student, (undergraduate, graduate program, medical student).
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
    • Technical, scientific, and numerical skills
    • Methodical and imaginative approach to work
    • Tenacity and patience
    • Ability to work well in teams and to network and forge links with collaborators.
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to build effective relationships with staff and colleagues.
    • Ability to motivate others.
    • Eye for detail
    • Ability to multi-task and think on your feet.
    • Good organizational, IT, and administrative skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • No previous research experience is required but some is desired.
