Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team at Curing Marriage and Family Therapy Services. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitating parent support groups to help participants navigate the challenges of parenting, particularly in relation to children with mental health issues.
• Creating therapeutic environments where parents can openly discuss their experiences and access guidance on complex parenting scenarios, including adoption and the impacts of prenatal substance exposure.
• Conducting temperament assessments and counseling sessions for parents looking to improve their understanding of their child's needs and behaviors.
• Performing comprehensive developmental evaluations for children to assess their growth and development, while providing actionable insights for parents.
• Documenting all provided services accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and external reporting requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on families and children dealing with mental health issues, particularly those who have experienced prenatal substance exposure. You will provide specialized support to parents and guardians, helping them navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Your expertise will directly contribute to improved outcomes in these families, making a lasting difference in their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate program is required.
• A current, active, and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a healthcare setting, with at least one year in a mental health context.
• Proven background in parent-child intervention practices.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, effective parenting strategies, and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in case management or direct service provision in social work, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the therapeutic process.
• Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and modern therapeutic techniques applicable to family therapy and child development.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
