Job description

Job Summary:
RTX is the world's largest aerospace and defense company, dedicated to solving complex problems. They are seeking a Senior Speech Recognition Researcher to perform high-quality technical work related to Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) for government clients, focusing on research, development, and implementation of novel algorithms and software systems.
Responsibilities:
• Research, develop, and implement novel algorithms for solving customer challenges related to Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).
• Develop software systems to train and test ASR systems.
• Build new ASR models for customer data and domain.
• Interface with DoD clients supporting ASR research systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
• Security Clearance Type: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• Experience with Python Programming
• Experience with the Linux command line
• Experience with Machine Learning
• Empirical Research Experience
Preferred:
• Bash Programming
• An inquisitive personality
• Hands on Experience with Speech Recognition technologies
• Experience with ESPnet
• Experience with PyTorch
• Experience and knowledge of software development in Python
