Job Overview

Summer 2027 Intern - Product Development (R&D)

As a Product Development Intern in the Frisco, TX Research & Development (R&D) facility at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP), you will lead an experimental research project while working with a cross functional team. This project will impact all Cold Beverage KDP brands and provide an opportunity to develop critical, in-depth knowledge of how the beverage industry develops and commercializes new products. The Summer Intern will also be responsible for formally presenting research findings to a broad leadership team at the conclusion of the summer.

This role is aligned to the Beverage Operating Unit. 

Shift/Schedule:

  • The KDP 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from June 7 - August 13, 2027
  • Full-time; 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00am until 5:00pm
  • In-person in our Frisco, TX Research & Development facility

As a Product R&D Intern you will:

  • Conduct bench-top experiments, formula calculations, and develop prototypes
  • Maintain accurate and detailed record of laboratory work
  • Interpret test results, write technical reports and effectively communicate information within the organization
  • Use Excel & formulation software to document lab work and formulas
  • Work effectively with various functions of R&D (Sensory, Ingredients, Nutrition, Regulatory, Flavor Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, and Technical Services)
  • Multi-task to achieve desired results

 

Elements of the KDP Intern Program include:

  • Engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a challenging, cross functional team environment
  • Participating in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders
  • Receiving professional development training such as networking, professional skills development and presenting
  • Partnering with a mentor to enhance your knowledge of other parts of the business and build your network
  • Completing a project from start to finish and presenting it and your takeaways to your team, department vice president and other KDP stakeholders
Requirements
  • Must be an undergraduate currently enrolled in a full-time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in food science, chemical engineering, or another related field
  • Available to work 40 hours per week (M-F, 8am-5pm)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills including excellent listening, written, and verbal abilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, be independently driven, and a self-starter
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
