Business Development Intern (Senior Care Partnerships)

Location: DFW, Texas
Type: Part-time Internship
Work Style: Field-based + Remote / Hybrid
Reports to: CEO / Founder
 

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to support partnership development and go-to-market execution in the senior care market. This role will focus on learning partner products, building target lists, conducting outreach to senior care channels, gathering market feedback, and helping identify potential referral opportunities.

This is a hands-on internship for someone interested in business development, market validation, senior care, healthcare-adjacent services, and startup execution.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand partner products and services, including their value proposition, use cases, and target customers
  • Research and build target lists across senior-focused channels, including:
    • Assisted Living
    • Memory Care
    • Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)
    • Rehab providers
    • Geriatric Physicians
    • Home Care Agencies
    • Home Health Agencies
    • Durable Medical Equipment (DME) companies
    • Downsizing / transition-related companies
  • Conduct outreach to target accounts through:
    • Cold calling / appointment setting
    • Walk-in visits
    • Email and follow-up outreach
  • Track outreach activity, responses, and meetings in an organized format
  • Report field feedback and market observations to the CEO, including:
    • Response rate / meeting rate by channel
    • Which messaging resonates most (e.g. safety, differentiation, ROI)
    • Common barriers to adoption (e.g. price, insurance, installation, sales materials)
  • Help identify and nurture referral relationships with senior care channels
  • Support efforts to encourage partner channels to refer seniors and families who may be interested in home safety / fall-risk related services
  • Assist with presentation materials, sales collateral, and summary reports as needed
 QualificationsRequired
  • Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with professionals in person
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information clearly
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to work independently and provide regular progress updates
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local outreach in the DFW area

  • Interest in healthcare, senior care, home services, partnerships, or startups
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, campus outreach, recruiting, or business development
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, CRM tools, or basic pipeline tracking
