Training, Development and Safety Intern

Position type: Part-time position eligible for overtime. This is a hybrid position that will require onsite days at our Charlestown HQ location

Pay: $18 per hour

The Training & Safety Department is Hiring a Intern!

The Training and Safety department is looking for interns to assist with training initiatives and safety projects. This department at HomeWorks Energy responsible for developing the skills and knowledge of employees, allowing them to develop within their current role and to enhance their career within the company. This team is also responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.

Primary Responsibilities

Reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing material and recommends appropriate changes.

Prepares and distributes training aids such as: Instruction material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids.

Designs, prepares, and distributes safety materials for HWE warehouses and vehicles.

Helps plan and schedule events for Specialty Months and other Culture Club initiatives.

Assists Director of Training and Safety with research and planning for various safety and training initiatives including grant applications.

Requirements:

Team player as well as self-sufficient. Ability to be a self-starter and work efficiently on their own but also collaborate regularly and communicate effectively.

Reliable transportation preferred - mileage reimbursement provided.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Word).

High attention to detail and concern for accuracy.

Interest in energy efficiency and the environment
