The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a Development Coordinator to join our Utah Division based in Salt Lake City.
As an integral member of the team, the Development Coordinator advances the American Heart Association's lifesaving mission through the planning, coordination, and implementation of fundraising campaigns. Through detailed data management, administrative and logistics coordination, organization and planning, timeline management and facilitating effective communication across team members, help us create outstanding experiences and make an extraordinary impact on the health and well-being of our communities.

Responsibilities
  • Provides a wide variety of skilled logistical, administrative, clerical and data management support to the Utah Division, ensuring all programs and office functions run efficiently. Ensures a high quality of service is provided to all staff, volunteers, and other external and internal customers
  • Procures necessary resources and may solicit in-kind donations.
  • Recruits, manages, and engages with event volunteers.
  • Processes invoices for payment, conducts research, organizes and orders event supplies, maintains inventory tracker, and assists with event set-up and tear-down for core campaign events, in addition to internal staff activities and non-core events throughout the fiscal year.
  • Manages customer and campaign information utilizing American Heart Association systems accurately, timely and completely in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Collaborates across departments to create correspondence, event collateral and impact-focused graphic materials with precise attention to detail.
  • Responsible for accurate, timely processing of donations in accordance with established requirements and standards, including weekly mail processing.
  • Proactively ensures timely communication with internal and external partners and customers, supporting collaboration in account management and activities to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years prior relevant work experience that includes:
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet specified timelines.
    • Administrative expertise with complex clerical responsibilities and data management.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Effective interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
    • Ability to organize, plan and execute corporate events, both in-person and digital experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Canva.
  • Ability to do daily local travel; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.
