Job description

In this high-impact leadership role, you will be the strategic champion for our digital roadmap. You will lead a multidisciplinary organization of technology developers and implementation specialists, working in close partnership with our global field science and controlled environment biology teams and cross-functional partners to ensure our scientists are equipped with advanced data, automation, imaging, analytics, and AI tools.
The Role
As the Advanced Data & Research Technologies Leader, you are responsible for the vision and execution of a modernized research ecosystem. You will lead the collective process of defining how we invest in and deploy digital technologies. You will serve as the essential bridge that connects complex scientific requirements with technical execution across our global footprint.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Orchestration: Spearhead the development and implementation of a unified digital strategy covering data architecture, software tools, field and controlled environment sensors and automation, and advanced analytics/AI.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Act as a primary liaison between the Crop Health Integrated Field Science and Biology Research & Development organizations and Corteva's IT and Digital teams, ensuring technology investments are scalable, integrated, and science-led.
  • Organizational Leadership: Direct and empower a significant team of professionals focused on the development, deployment, and long-term support of research technology solutions.
  • Modernization Champion: Drive a culture of digital excellence across the global field science and biology community, facilitating a shared vision for the "Field & Lab of the Future".
  • Matrix Alignment: Work across the enterprise to ensure the modernization strategy aligns with broader corporate digital initiatives while meeting the unique needs of biological and agricultural research.

  • Technically Versed: You possess a deep understanding of agricultural R&D environments and the digital tools that power them, including Automation, IoT, Data Engineering, and Machine Learning.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Extensive leadership experience in R&D, AgTech, or a related high-tech field, with a focus on digital transformation or research technology.
  • Leadership: A proven track record of managing large, multidisciplinary teams and successfully leading complex, multi-year strategic initiatives.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence senior leadership through partnership.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Agricultural, Engineering, or Digital Science field is required; a PhD or Master's is highly preferred.
