Location: Cullman, AL

Salary Range: $66,000 – $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications

We are seeking a motivated and accomplished Associate Attorney to join our growing practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is eager to assume significant responsibility, manage cases independently, and provide exceptional legal representation to clients.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, excellent advocacy skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Position Responsibilities

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload and representing clients through all phases of the legal process, including:

  • Conducting client consultations to gather information, assess legal needs, evaluate case viability, and determine firm fit
  • Independently handling hearings, court appearances, and trials
  • Conducting legal research and analysis on complex legal issues
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents
  • Developing case strategies and preparing matters for litigation and trial
  • Negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Advising clients regarding legal rights, options, and case developments
  • Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and court personnel
  • Maintaining accurate and organized case files and documentation
  • Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and procedures
  • Remaining current on legal developments and changes in relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience independently handling legal matters
  • Demonstrated experience in litigation, including hearings and trial preparation
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
