Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Clinical Research Coordinator

Job Description

This onsite Clinical Research Coordinator position in Las Vegas, NV supports an ongoing balance impairment clinical trial on a part-time basis (16 hours per week). The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional who can work independently while managing multiple study activities. You will serve as one of the primary coordinators for the study, overseeing participant recruitment, visit coordination, data collection, and documentation to ensure the trial runs smoothly and adheres to regulatory and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, and prescreen potential participants for eligibility based on protocol-defined inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Conduct phone screenings with prospective participants and review their medical histories to determine suitability for the study.
  • Perform thorough chart reviews and assessments of patient medical records to confirm eligibility and support accurate documentation.
  • Engage in community outreach by visiting clinics and hospitals, distributing recruitment materials, educating medical staff about the study, and maintaining online recruitment portals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral physicians and clinical partners to support ongoing participant recruitment.
  • Prepare for study visits by scheduling participants, confirming informed consent status, preparing study documents, and coordinating logistics with the research team.
  • Conduct follow-up communications with participants to support retention, answer questions, and reinforce protocol compliance.
  • Schedule in-person visits and follow-up appointments, and send reminders and relevant information to participants as needed.
  • Collect study data accurately and enter it into electronic data capture systems, ensuring completeness and consistency.
  • Create and maintain source documents, ensuring all study records are complete, accurate, up to date, and audit-ready.
  • Resolve data queries promptly by reviewing source documentation, clarifying discrepancies, and updating records in accordance with study requirements.
  • Retrieve necessary medical records from clinical systems and ensure proper documentation within the study files.
  • Maintain and organize study binders and regulatory files in compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and support adherence to e-diary protocols, assisting participants with their entries and troubleshooting any issues to promote compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with research and clinical staff to support the successful conduct of the trial and maintain a high standard of data quality.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator in a clinical research or clinical trial setting.
  • At least 1 year of experience with data entry in clinical research environments.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Proficiency with electronic data capture systems used in clinical trials.
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-screening patients and conducting chart reviews for clinical studies.
  • Proven ability to recruit and engage patients for clinical research studies.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in documentation, data entry, and protocol adherence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with participants, investigators, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Training in HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements.
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and their application in clinical trials.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in a clinical research setting in Las Vegas, NV and follows normal business hours for a total of approximately 16 hours per week. The environment is fast paced and requires consistent attention to detail, particularly in managing participant visits, data entry, and documentation. You will collaborate closely with research and clinical staff, working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, electronic data capture platforms, and other standard clinical research tools. The role takes place in a professional clinical environment where adherence to privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory standards is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
