About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Senior Research Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and Deliver:Applying modern software development practices, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, building,testingand delivering high-quality solutions.

  • Build Scalable ML Solutions:You will create large scale data processing pipelines to help researchers build and train novel machine learning algorithms. You willdevelophigh performing scalablesystems in the context of large online delivery environments.

About You:

You are a fit for the position of Senior Research Engineer if your background includes:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Related Field, or Equivalent Experience

  • At least5years software engineering experience.

  • At least 2 years working on a Machine Learning related product or solution.

  • A deep understanding of Python software development stacksand ecosystems.

  • Ability to write clean, reusable, maintainable and well-tested code

  • Track record of quickly adopting and applying emerging technologies to solve complex problems

  • Experience collaborating with applied data scientists to translate research work in production ready solutions

  • A keen interest in real-world applications and impact.

  • Experience with cloud computing development.

  • Experience with Agile Methodologies.

  • Experience implementing CI/CD, DevOps, and SDLC concepts in application delivery.

  • Experience integrating Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions into production-grade softwareUnderstanding of ModelOps and MLOps principles

  • Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) problems and familiarity with key tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), Information Extraction, Information Retrieval, Text classification, Summarization, etc.

  • Ability to understand and translate between language and methodologies used both in research and engineering fields

  • Hands-on experience in other programming language/scripting language and development stack (Java, Rust, Scala, Typescript, etc.)

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $110,000 USD - $204,200 USD. For Ontario, Canada, the base compensation range for this role is $100,000 CAD - $145,000 CAD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
