Clinical Research Navigator (Oncology)

Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid Schedule

We are seeking a Clinical Research Navigator to support a growing oncology clinical research program. This role serves as a key

liaison between patients, physicians, research staff, and pharmaceutical sponsors, helping connect eligible patients to innovative cancer clinical

trials. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical research professional who enjoys working with patients and providers but is looking to move beyond direct clinic responsibilities while remaining highly involved in the clinical trial process.

Responsibilities

  • Review oncology patient records and assess eligibility against study inclusion/exclusion criteria.
  • Coordinate patient referrals into oncology clinical trials
  • Communicate with physicians, patients, sponsors, and internal research teams to facilitate enrollment
  • Request and secure sponsor study slots for qualified patients
  • Manage multiple active study opportunities and enrollment requests simultaneously
  • Track patient progress and ensure all deadlines and study requirements are met
  • Utilize EPIC, Microsoft Teams, email, and phone communication to coordinate activities
  • Support approximately 16-25 active oncology studies

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) experience
  • Oncology clinical research experience required
  • Experience reviewing protocols and applying inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Ability to interpret medical records and oncology diagnoses
  • Experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple studies and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience interacting with physicians, patients, and sponsors
  • Strong attention to detail and patient-focused mindset
  • Phase I oncology trial experience
  • Sponsor-facing clinical research experience

Work Environment

  • Hybrid schedule with onsite presence required
  • Opportunity to work remotely on Fridays and occasionally throughout the week
  • Split time between multiple cancer center locations
  • Collaborative environment with direct exposure to physicians, medical leadership, and research sponsors

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
