Job description


Responsibilities:
Job Summary: As a senior-level team member, the Epic Willow Analyst III is responsible for leading the analysis of clinical, business, and technical processes and issues. This role involves formulating and developing recommendations for new and modified systems to meet both client and internal project requirements.
  1. Lead the analysis of clinical, business, and technical processes, and develop recommendations for new and modified systems.
  2. Serve as a liaison between the IT Department, vendors, and operations for multiple systems/applications.
  3. Act as the primary departmental contact, leading communication and coordination efforts, and providing expert project management support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  4. Mentor Epic Applications Analyst I, II, and III, and supervise work efforts as directed by the Manager.
  5. Research, analyze, design, and modify software applications, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support the implementation of software modules and system preference modifications.
  6. Gather and prioritize development initiatives and activities in collaboration with departments.
  7. Lead workflow analysis, recommend strategic solutions, and oversee the implementation of application solutions to meet departmental needs, driving efficiency and innovation.
  8. Provide technical/application assistance to clients and IT staff as appropriate.
  9. Perform financial analysis, business plan, and impact assessment.
  10. Manage system upgrades and large projects.
  11. Develop timelines for implementation and ensure all steps are taken to close outstanding issues regarding new implementations.
  12. Complete tasks on time and meet assignment dates.
  13. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.
  14. Create and maintain documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan, and execute testing for supported applications.
  15. Participate in daily and implementation support for systems.
  16. Participate in an on-call rotation schedule, including daily, after hours, and weekends, providing 24x7 client support as necessary.
  17. Work collaboratively with IT Educators and Informatics to ensure system feature and function modifications are shared with educators for updated training plans and documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of six years of epic build experience
  • Extensive experience in analyzing clinical, business, and technical processes.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading communication and coordination efforts.
  • Proficiency in software application research, analysis, design, and modification.
  • Ability to mentor and supervise junior analysts.
  • Excellent technical/application assistance skills.
  • Strong financial analysis and business planning capabilities.
  • Experience managing system upgrades and large projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with IT Educators and Informatics.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Healthcare/Computer Science/Business from an accredited school or equivalent work experience
  • Epic Certification/Accreditation in Willow Ambulatory and Willow Inventory. Specialty Pharmacy Certification/Accreditation recommended.
