Job Description:
The Research Associate I will be responsible for supporting compliance with the company's current marketed dental consumables including meeting internal and external quality and safety requirements. The role will be primarily responsible for performing experiments in the research laboratory and completing all required documentation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Under general supervision, conducts assigned experiments using appropriate equipment, techniques, and protocols. Applies good laboratory practices.
  • Under the guidance of more senior R&D personnel, plans a schedule of research activities according to the company's timetable, and establishes daily or weekly routines necessary to meet the project timetable.
  • Contributes to the design of experiments.
  • Identifies deficiencies and suggests solutions to problems of limited scope (low to moderate complexity).
  • Records experimental data and observations. Completes calculations according to established procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records of work.
  • Prepares standard and summary of results.
  • Develops knowledge of the company's existing products.
  • Participates in the evaluation of experiment results, ideas, competitor products, and new technologies.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures including quality, complaint handling, and safety.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of standard chemical or physical testing procedures is required.
  • Understanding of good laboratory practices required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English required.
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills are required.
  • Good organizational and time management skills is required.
  • Ability to prioritize is required.
