Salary: $44,574 - $53,143

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time position as Research Assistant. Area Psychosis is seeking a full-time individual to provide research study support for an NIH-funded study focused on clinical trials. The position requires a highly organized person to manage detailed information in a research environment. The Research Assistant will assist with research study procedures, including scheduling of subjects for study procedures, conducting data entry, assisting Principal investigators in study administration, and assisting with contacting research study subjects by phone when needed. He / She will also perform some administrative duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing advertising and appointments for, and brief phone screening of potential research subjects
  • Organizing databases.
  • Help tracking and contacting patients for intake and follow up interviews in research protocols
  • Help coordinating patient appointments for psychologists and psychiatrists and assisting psychologists and psychiatrists with research assessments.
  • Help preparing data for PI to use in IRB protocol submissions and updates
  • Help organizing research charts, creating some study chart documents as needed and entering data
  • Help monitoring of research charts for completeness and organizing additions and corrections as needed
  • Assist in communication with the study supervisor, inpatient unit, and pharmacy as needed
  • If applicable, assist in training new hires to assume incumbent responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in health, psychology, medical science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least (1) year of clinical experience conducting diagnostic and clinical interviews preferred.
